Northern Areas Development Project (NADP) was a jointly funded project of IFAD, UNDP and Government of Pakistan in Northern Areas of Pakistan. The project aimed at developing capacity of local people and infrastructure development in mountain regions for poverty reduction and improvements in livelihoods of the people. Sustainable Solutions conducted Mid Term and Final Evaluation of the project by using qualitative and quantitative methods of data gathering and analysis.
The British High Commission Islamabad’s program has been implementing Balochistan Community Development Project with funding from the BHC Islamabad’s Conflict Pool. The project began in October 2009 with the objective to improve the provision and management of basic agricultural, livelihood, sanitation and hygiene, and lighting infrastructure to communities District Chagai and District Noshki by March 2011.
Sustainable Solutions (Pvt.) Ltd., conducted a Mid Term review of the project in 2010.
Islamic Relief (IR) is an international relief and development charity, which aims to alleviate the suffering of the world’s poorest people. It is an independent Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) founded in the UK in 1984 by Dr Hany El Banna. Its stated mission is, “to alleviate suffering, hunger, illiteracy and diseases worldwide regardless of color, race or creed, and to provide aid in a compassionate and dignified manner. Islamic Relief aims to provide rapid relief in the event of human and natural disasters and to establish local development projects to eradicate poverty, illiteracy and disease”.
Sustainable Solutions (Pvt.) Ltd. conducted an end project evaluation for Islamic relief’s European Union funded IDPAB (Integrated Development Project in AJK and Balochistan) project. The main objective of the IDPAB program was “To rehabilitate and develop the capacity of the targeted communities of AJK and Balochistan by providing them means of improving their livelihoods through an integrated developmental approach”.
NHA is the regulatory body for roads and communication in Pakistan. Being gateway between south and central Asia, Pakistan is going to develop a network of roads and communication infrastructure. Sustainable Solutions (Pvt.) Ltd provides services in conducting Environment and Social Impact Assessments, preparation of Land Acquisition and Resettlement Plan (LARP) and Short Resettlement Plans (SRPs) and in Implementation of Resettlement Plans as panel consultant to the esteemed organization.
SSPL through its experts is currently monitoring the LARP implementation on Faisalabad – Multan (M4) Motorway project and has also conducted the third party monitoring of LARP implementation of its Kalat – Quetta – Chaman (KQC) N-25 road project. The monitoring assignments also include the routine baselining, review and updating resettlement plans along with regular monitoring reports.
Relief International (RI) is an International relief organization. RI was working in the earthquake affected areas of Azad Kashmir, Pakistan. Their program objective is to restore livelihoods of the earthquake affected communities through agriculture and livestock inputs. Sustainable Solutions (Pvt.) Ltd., is working as a partner consultant to support the project in delivery of its outputs mainly focusing on Research, Capacity Building and Monitoring & Evaluation.
