The purpose was to provide inputs for enhancing departmental capacity to address environmental and social concerns related to project cycle (planning, designing, implementation and operational phases) in ADB portfolio (Health, Education, Transport and Energy sectors) in Five district of NWFP and four district of AJK. The recipient of the services was relevant government agencies including, departments of works and services and education in NWFP, and departments of education, electricity, health and public works in AJK. In addition the receptive EPAs NWFP and AJK, consultants (all sectors) and contractors
involved in processing approval, design and implementation of ADB projects were also key recipient of the capacity development activities undertaken by SSPL.
